Welcome

This is my lair. Part coding project, part personal diary, part art and writing dump! Is there a single focused aim for this site? Not really! This is me, my interest in the old web, old technology, entertainment of the late 80s through to the early 00s, and my love of writing. Also The X-Files and My Little Pony. With some skulls and skeletons sprinkled on top. My pronouns are it/its/kin, but I accept they/them/kin. Occasionally I speak in third person. When I first started this site, I was using nominal gender pronouns (she/her), so pardon the mixed language.

Recent Updates

3/14/26 - Kin figured it out! So every now and again, it takes a look at the site and tries to think of how to update it. The issue with the slow page times was really nagging it, but it seemed like such a difficult thing to hunt down and figure out. But kin's earlier theory had been correct. It WAS a rogue script... In fact, it was detritus of old code left behind after the SCM Player removal! When we made the switch to wikplayer (the music player above) we hadn't fully removed all the code for SCM throughout the site. That's literally all it was! It's glad it didn't go bothering any other web admins about this. Kin's instinct to hold off for more answers paid off, and now the site is fixed! Hooray! 🥳

11/12/25 - It's aware that certain sections of the site appear to be loading more slowly. It is not sure what is causing this. It MAY be related to its use of javascript on some pages, including document.write() or maybe even its traffic tracker script from With Cabin. It's not sure. It will add this to the to-do list along with some more info. Other than abysmal load times on some pages, the site seems to still be more or less functional. It's sorry for the inconvenience! (also, it added its pronouns to the above welcome message. It still needs to update its about page, it knows...)

10/31/25 - Happy Halloween! 🎃 There's a new blog post available. This is a letter to codependents. It may do a more "Halloween"-centric post later today after trick 'r treating with the cubs.
7/24/25 - A new blog post is up. <3

6/27/25 - Holy crap it's still around! It logged on to discover an issue with its SCM player. So it switched to wikplayer instead and the problem seems fixed. It also added four new songs to the playlist! Look forward to a new blog post soon.

12/16/24 - There's a new blog post as well as a ton of new artwork in the digital, traditional, and (the recently added) scrap artwork galleries.

12/1/24 - The site lives! There's a new blog post, as well as new original lyrics featured on the songs page. I've fixed a broken link on the links page, as well as added my Bluesky profile. Look forward to new artwork soon! I just need to edit and upload the photos. I also have a conlang I'm hoping to add to my worldbuilding section in the near future. Last thing I did was tweak the original nav sidebar a little.

2/20/24 - Took a major step both for my site and also for my novel project. I've added a section of the site dedicated to Eikasia, my fantasy setting, and its lore. I have a lot more to add, but this will do for a start.

To-Do

Finish web version of PC collection database in 2026.
Write another movie review in 2026.
Write another X-Files episode retrospective in 2026.
Add a new page for its Twitch streaming or VODs.
Add more fanfiction.
Add what kin has for its conlang for the Eikasia worldbuiilding section.
Add Baneverse worldbuilding lore to the site.
Add more accessibility to the site in general (better alt tags, more font options, etc.)
