Yo it's a blast from the past!

Welcome to my lair. Part coding project, part personal diary, part art and writing dump! Is there a single focused aim for this site? Not really! This is me, my interest in the old web, old technology, entertainment of the late 80s through to the early 00s, and my love of writing. With some skulls and skeletons sprinkled on top.

Don't be scared. I don't bite... hard.

Recent Updates

8/30/23 - Added a music player. This does NOT autoplay, in respect of people like myself who listen to music while they surf the web. It also is set to shuffle playback, and will only go through the playlist once all the way through, but if there's something specific you'd like to hear, you can open the playlist window by clicking the music note icon at the right end of the player. So, if you guys are interested in hearing some fairly chill retro tracks, then give the playlist a listen! Features some old video game tracks, vaporwave, and dark lo-fi. Should provide seamless playback across the site. I tried to add the player to the X-Files page, but it doesn't work, so unless you begin playback elsewhere, it won't show. But the X-Files theme is on there! :P I think the player's script is colliding with the fade-in-from-black script on the X-Files main page, but I kind of think it's low priority to fix, don't you? I may add songs as time goes on.
8/26/23 - YES! I started my X-Files Retrospective blog series! First post, obviously, covers the pilot episode. Find it on the X-Files shrine page. Also added four new links to the Links page.
8/8/23 - New blog post! I talk about what I have currently in the works in terms of new content for the site, and stuff I'd like to get started on soon.
8/7/23 - I've added the graphics gallery to the art page, and I also uploaded a recently completed digital artwork to the digital gallery!
7/31/23 - I've added a "new" story to the writing page. This one is a multi-chapter novella, but it's all on the same page. Don't worry, there's nav links.
7/29/23 - I split up the X-Files Shrine Galleries! The pages should load better now. I've added a bunch of pictures, too. I've added a new link section special for the shrine that goes to some really cool X-Files sites. I may have more substantive show info to add soon, but time will tell if/when I can do it.
7/28/23 - Added the digital art gallery. It's mostly old work, but I DO have a couple of images from the last three years. I'm currently working on a new piece to add, hopefully soon.
7/26/23 - Started the art page! I've begun creating the individual galleries. So far just the traditional art gallery is done. I have more to upload, I just ran out of time today.

To-Do

Add more accessibility to the site in general (better alt tags, more font options, etc.)
I'd like to do a showcase/gallery of my retro video game and retro PC collection! Most of it is in storage, so this may be sometime before I can get to it...
Make a Castle shrine - Y'know the TV show with Nathan Fillion.
Make a Keanu Reeves shrine
Add a chatbox - I may hold off on this, simply because my site lacks traffic and engagement atm.
Add a blinky/old web art gallery - I've been finding some fun things that I'd love to share!
As fine as this site layout has been, I'd like to make a site with more object layering, a maybe a three column layout with a header and footer.
