Welcome

This is my lair. Part coding project, part personal diary, part art and writing dump! Is there a single focused aim for this site? Not really! This is me, my interest in the old web, old technology, entertainment of the late 80s through to the early 00s, and my love of writing. With some skulls and skeletons sprinkled on top.

Recent Updates

2/20/24 - Took a major step both for my site and also for my novel project. I've added a section of the site dedicated to Eikasia, my fantasy setting, and its lore. I have a lot more to add, but this will do for a start.

2/14/24 - I've made some fundamental changes to the site. The new font sitewide (minus the review and story pages) will be Verdana, to improve readability. I've also decided to eliminate the rotating background images for a more uniform aesthetic. I'll be using this dark skull background from sadgrl.online across most of the site. I've removed some of the images and text from the main page, and I'm considering slimming down elsewhere to improve loadtimes. I may tool around some more with my stylesheet until I feel like everything looks good. Also added a cool new site to the Links page. I hope everyone's new year is going well. Oh, and happy Valentine's day! ❤

12/17/23 - Added new artwork to the digital art gallery, as well as adjusted the image sizes on full view so that you guys can actually see the finer details (finally)! Also added a new blog post.

8/30/23 - Added a music player. This does NOT autoplay, in respect of people like myself who listen to music while they surf the web. It also is set to shuffle playback, and will only go through the playlist once all the way through, but if there's something specific you'd like to hear, you can open the playlist window by clicking the music note icon at the right end of the player. So, if you guys are interested in hearing some fairly chill retro tracks, then give the playlist a listen! Features some old video game tracks, vaporwave, and dark lo-fi. Should provide seamless playback across the site. I tried to add the player to the X-Files page, but it doesn't work, so unless you begin playback elsewhere, it won't show. But the X-Files theme is on there! :P I think the player's script is colliding with the fade-in-from-black script on the X-Files main page, but I kind of think it's low priority to fix, don't you? I may add songs as time goes on.

8/26/23 - YES! I started my X-Files Retrospective blog series! First post, obviously, covers the pilot episode. Find it here. Also added four new links to the Links page.

8/8/23 - New blog post! I talk about what I have currently in the works in terms of new content for the site, and stuff I'd like to get started on soon.

To-Do

Add more accessibility to the site in general (better alt tags, more font options, etc.)
I'd like to do a showcase/gallery of my retro video game and retro PC collection! Most of it is in storage, so this may be sometime before I can get to it...
Add a chatbox - I may hold off on this, simply because my site lacks traffic and engagement atm.
As fine as this site layout has been, I'd like to make a site with more object layering, a maybe a three column layout with a header and footer.
