About
SITE ESTABLISHED 6/27/23
I'm known as Cajeck, Illise Montoya, MajikNiNE, PnkPanther9, Nines, and NineCaliber online. Guess what's my favorite number? This website is my passion project. An attempt to learn coding and web design. An outlet for me to get my feelings out, share my interests, and to escape the corporate internet. I'm in my mid 30s and I'm bisexual. I'm a self-published author, a gamer, a freelance gaming journalist, a mother, and general basket case. I love old technology and the old web. I love entertainment media from the late 80s through the 00s.
I play the ukulele, I crochet, and I love tarantulas! Some of my favorite bands of all time are The Offspring, Pearl Jam, the Dead Kennedys, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Garbage. I'm into anime, horror, and sitcoms. Citypop, future funk, jungle D&B, and vaporwave are amazing music genres and I love listening to them. My favorite comic book artist is Terry Moore. My favorite color is red. I watch and listen to a lot of true crime. I love My Little Pony and I watch lots of children's cartoons even without my kids. Soy latina pero mi español tiene mucho margen de mejora.

Favorite Music Artists
-
The Offspring: Once exclusively a hardcore punk band, this group has since evolved their sound to a kind of melodic alternative rock whose anthems rouse entire stadiums. Formed in the late 80s and still active today, they are best known for their singles "The Kids Aren't Alright", Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)", "Come out and Play", and "Gone Away".
-
Pearl Jam: Part of the initial grunge wave of the 90s, Pearl Jam has consistently released music that explores, challenges, and raises awareness. Formed in the early 90s, this band is still active today. They are best known for their singles "Jeremy", "Even Flow", "Alive", and "Porch".
-
Garbage: This American rock band formed in the early 90s. Over the years they have developed a reputation for their industrial rock, trip hop, and post-grunge sound. Fun fact: the drummer, Butch Vig, not only is responsible for creating Garbage, he also is an accomplished producer whose credits include The Smashing Pumpkin's Gish and Nirvana's Nevermind. They are still active today. They are best known for their singles, "Only Happy When It Rains", "Push It", "Stupid Girl", "Cherry Lips", and "When I Grow Up".
Favorite Video Games
-
Elder Scrolls Online: Part of the famous Elder Scrolls series by Bethesda, this game is part of the top MMOs in terms of active population and explores the world of Tamriel before the events of the main games. This easily became one of my most played games. It has a solid solo and multiplayer experience, and while some may quibble that it retconned established Elder Scrolls lore (namely regarding the war between the Ebonheart Pact, the Aldimeri Dominion, and the Daggerfall Covenant) its respect and deep knowledge for the series and all of its entries cannot be denied.
-
Zero Escape Series: Developed by Spike Chunsoft and Chime, this tense thriller series mixes elements of escape the room games and visual novel games. Originally released for the Nintendo DS and 3DS, the Zero Escape series takes place in wildly different locations, and each feature an extreme plot filled with death and mystery. The replayability of these games is fantastic, and they are the first (to my recollection) that utilizes the Multiple-Worlds Interpretation in such a fun and engaging way. These games are a treasured part of my game collection!
-
Fallout Series: A post-apocalyptic open world RPG series that has garnered world-wide acclaim since it's debut in the late 90s. This series is well-known for its non-linear gameplay, rich 40s aesthetic, and memorable soundtracks.
Current Hobbies
-
Ukulele: I own five ukuleles! I have two sopranos, two concerts, and a tenor. Atleast two of them are electric acoustic! I can play a few songs, like the DuckTales Theme Song, the Adventure Time Theme Song, and All Along the Watchtower by Bob Dylan. I've taught my son to play as well. The picture below is NOT my actual collection.
-
Retro Computers and Obsolete Technology: For the last few years, I've developed an interest in old computers. While I'm most interested in Windows 9x era desktops, I'm fascinated by old computers of all kinds--the weirder, the better! I also get a kick out of obsolete tech, like early attempts at social network devices (like the Cybiko!) and old tech trends (Like HitClips!) I own several old PCs and accessories, and I'm partway through a project of building a legacy PC from scratch using new old stock. Alot of my computer collection is in storage, and I'd like to do a showcase on the site someday, but for now here's info on my Windows 98 machine: HP Vectra VLi8 MT, Pen3 500mhz, 512mb ram, 50gb hdd. Not a beast, but it gets the job done. :)
-
Crochet: With my trusty hook, I've crocheted hats, sweaters, and coasters for myself, friends, and family. I'm particularly fond of amigurumi, the Japanese art of crocheting small stuffed creatures! I made my son an axolotl for his eighth birthday! The picture below is not the actual axolotl I crocheted, but it's close! Just imagine one that's alot jankier than this, lol.

RANDOM STUFF
Congrats for making it this far! You get to see one of my old websites from 2004 now. The video downloads work, lol! There's even a capture of the other site address I used where the fanfiction link is functional! And that's not all! I found the archive of my old Zelda RP site. It was an attempt at continuing a long-running battle RP on the GameFAQs boards that sadly didn't take off. But some good Zelda fansite archive links there! :)
